I'd like to start improving again
It's hard to admit but I know my skills have stagnated.
I got too comfortable with where I was and as a result, I stopped learning new things that would have made me a more mature and knowledgeable writer.
There's no easy way to say it, but I let myself go.
Now I'm back to square one, with a lackluster skill set and portfolio, and a savings account that's dwindling fast.
If I could only turn back time, I'd have taken courses and gotten involved with more projects. I shouldn't have stopped improving.
So today, I'm committing myself to finally learning more about the world, particularly those that will help me improve as a writer and storyteller.
I'm going to start with reacquanting myself with visual design, particularly in UI/UX.
As Shuri, princess of Wakanda and now Black Panther would say: "Just because it works fine, doesn't mean it can't be improved."
Here's to never resting on your laurels.
